
Cedric Jones was born in Brooklyn, NY and grew up in Bennettsville, S.C. In 1995, he graduated with honors, earning a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Mass Communication (Broadcast Journalism) and Theatre (Performance) from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, S.C.
In 2004, he returned to New York and is active in the Independent Theatre scene as an actor, playwright, director and producer. His one-act plays Verses (winner of the 2000 Emerald Theatre Best Play Award) and Trouble in Paradise were produced as part of The Tenth Annual Midtown International Theatre Festival. Along with fellow thespian Lee Cavellier, Guy Pride Productions was formed, allowing the duo to produce such projects as GUY PRIDE: The World's 1st Man-sical and Nab-A-Date: The World's 1st, Best (and only) Musical Dating Show!
In 2008, Jones published his first book of poetry, I Wear the Colour Green, a collection of poems written throughout his life. Jones is currently a member of The Academy of American Poets.
Jones worked as a featured model for the legendary Algonquin Hotel's current ad campaign and is featured on their website.
